Lockside
is Bristol's waterfront cafe offering casual dining on
the edge of the Avon Gorge, with great views of the Clifton Suspension
Bridge, an ideal meeting place providing relaxed waterfront eating
for customers in the Bristol area.
The site has been an institution in Bristol since 1963
previously known as The Venturers Rest and latterly Popeyes Diner.
Also famous for being Sid's Cafe in 'Only Fools & Horses' -
although these days we like to think we are more of a pollished spoon
than a greasy spoon!
The menu is simple but up-to-the-minute, with lots
of comfort appeal. Quality is of paramount importance to us at Lockside,
we aim to cook the best fresh quality produce to exacting standards.
Our menus are diverse, offering a range of hearty breakfasts and
contemporary lunch and evening dishes at very competitive prices.
We also offer an extensive wine list containing well known favourites,
alongside little numbers from around the world.
Outside we have seating areas with views over the river. During
the summer months you can meander the day away enjoying fine food
and chilled wines and beers, forgetting about the worries of work!
The atmosphere at Lockside is relaxed, friendly and
informal, while the overall impression is of a restaurant which
is comfortable, light and open. It is our attention to detail and
high level of service that ensures your whole dining experience
will be truly memorable. We are fully licenced restaurant from
9am with a friendly team who look forward to welcoming you very
soon.
